โ๏ธDream About Someone Else Cutting Your Hair
Someone else held the scissors. Your hair. Their hands. Your identity โ being shaped by someone else.
When someone else cuts your hair, the transformation of identity is not self-directed. Another person is determining who you become.
If it was a professional hairdresser, you have entrusted your transformation to someone skilled. A therapist. A mentor. A guide. Someone qualified to reshape you.
If it was someone you know, that specific person is influencing your identity. A partner reshaping you into what they want. A parent still sculpting the child they envisioned. A boss molding you into their ideal employee.
If you were happy with the result, the external shaping aligns with who you want to be. Their vision of you matches your own.
If you hated the result, someone is making you into something you are not. Their scissors are cutting away parts of you that you wanted to keep.
If they cut too much, the reshaping went too far. They removed more of your identity than was necessary or wanted.
If they asked before cutting, consent was given. The transformation is collaborative. If they cut without asking, the reshaping was imposed.
Your identity is yours to shape. When someone else picks up the scissors, your unconscious is asking: did you hand them over, or did they take them?
