๐ซขDream About Being Naked and Trying to Hide
You were naked and scrambling. Behind a desk. Behind your hands. Behind anything you could find. The desperation to hide was overwhelming.
The hiding is more important than the nakedness. Your unconscious is showing you how much energy you spend concealing parts of yourself from the world. The frantic search for cover mirrors the daily effort of maintaining your persona.
If you found something to cover yourself with but it was not enough โ a napkin, a small towel, something ridiculously inadequate โ your coping mechanisms are not working. The mask you use to hide your vulnerability is too small for the job. People can see through it.
If you hid behind furniture or objects, you use external things to protect your sense of self. Your job title. Your role as a parent. Your social status. These things block the view but they are not clothing โ they are furniture.
If you kept running from room to room looking for clothes, you have been searching for a way to feel protected and nothing works. Each new strategy โ a new persona, a new job, a new relationship โ provides temporary cover but never fully dresses you.
If you found clothes and put them on, you have the ability to compose yourself. The moment of exposure is real but recoverable. You can rebuild the persona when needed.
The question your unconscious is asking: what if you stopped hiding? What if the energy you spend searching for clothes was spent being okay with being seen?
