๐๏ธDream About a Ghost Watching You Sleep
You woke up in the dream โ and the ghost was standing there. At the foot of your bed. By the door. In the corner of the room. Watching.
A ghost watching you sleep is the past observing your most unguarded state. You are at your most vulnerable โ unconscious, defenseless, completely exposed โ and something from another time is present.
If the ghost was protective, the past is guarding you. A deceased loved one. A former version of yourself. Something that once lived is still keeping watch while you rest.
If the ghost was unsettling, the past is too close. Its proximity to your sleeping body is its proximity to your unconscious mind. The thing that haunts you has direct access to your deepest, most undefended state.
If you could not move when you saw it, this may be a sleep paralysis dream. The body is frozen while the mind is aware โ and the ghost is the shape that the paralysis takes. The inability to move amplifies the vulnerability to maximum.
If you spoke to the ghost and it disappeared, addressing the past directly dissolves its power. The ghost exists only in the space between awareness and avoidance. Once you acknowledge it, it has nothing left to do.
If you could not tell if it was a dream or reality, the boundary between past and present โ between sleeping and waking โ has become thin. The ghost exists in the liminal space where both states overlap.
